Prologue ⊱ My Life Before...

The morning of the crossing was like any other. Theodore had just finished fueling his addiction to caffeine, stopping at a locally owned cafe that he had only just recently discovered. Coupling that with a breakfast sandwich, it was already the highlight to his normally mundane life. The air was crisp in the mid-summer season, with the sun beating down upon the bustling city streets. Sounds of traffic echoed among the concrete jungle, leaving Theo with ringing ears as he ushed his way to the shift of work he was already late for. It was as he neared work that he heard the screams of a woman, pleading for help down an alley of deep shadows. He didn't know why he did what he did, nor if there really ever was a reason, it was as if a voice in his mind took hold of him, rushed him forward without plan or courage. It was a struggle, a fight between a skinny brunette and a much bigger thief clad in a mask, with screams of a woman pleading for it all to end and everyone to go about their days. That's when the shots rang out, echoing louder than all other sounds before drowning all into a numb silence, as well as blurred vision as he watched two figures bolt away...Theodore had died...Or so it was thought. Awaking with a startled yell, Theo would jolt awake in an unfamiliar place, reciprocated in kind by a yell from a woman sat upon a throne of golden adornment. The two made eye contact, startling them even further into a now unified scream;"Who are you!? Where am I!? What did you do to me!?"'Please, please. calm down weary mortal! I promise to explain everything!'"Mortal? You're talking like that and you want me to calm down!? What do you mean mortal!?"'Listen, I will explain, but first you need to take a deep breath and calm down!'He would, albeit incredibly reluctantly, begin to settle, though it would seem more like anxiously awaiting her next words. Instead she offered a relieved breathe, followed by a cutely giggle. She would motion to a wooden chair sat not far from her...Theo would internally begin to scream because it most certainly wasn't there before, though he would follow her lead, taking his seat;'I know it's probably a little confusing and scary. Especially with what was happening to you an-'"Where is she!? She's okay right!"His outburst was sudden, it even made the strange woman jump, though she eased back down with a smile as she spoke up;'She will be now, thanks to you. All of that commotion, plus you defending her gave her all the time she needed to get to an officer that was coming to see what was happening.'"What is happening? I remember hearing gunshots-"'You were killed fighting that man off. It was pretty heroic for somebody who isn't the type. No offence of course, I'm able to see all of your life! Aside from minor bullies when you were a kid, you never stood out in any crowd, just kept to yourself-'"What in the hell are you talking about?"She looked at him in a bit of both shock and embarrassment;'Look, what I mean is...I am the Goddess known as Hystila, I am a guide for those who pass on far too young and give them a second chance at life.'Theodore looked in disbelief, though bewilderment may be the more correct term"A second chance?"'Yes, a second chance at a life that will be much more adventurous than your last. A parallel world that follows a world of magic and steel. Though it won't be one of luxury. The people of the world fear the merciless Devil King and his rampaging armies that pillage and slaughter without reason or justice. I implore you to go and save them from this grave threat and live the life of a great hero!'As she spoke, her words became more grandiose and pleading, while sounding almost entirely genuine, a trained ear would likely hear the scripted bravado in her undertone. Theo was not one of those people. He took her words to heart and thought deeply. Hands clenched upon his lap, h would look to the floor before speaking up again;"But, what's the point of sending me there like this? I'll just end up being killed again."The Goddess would smile warmly, getting only inches from his features as she spoke up. It not only took Theo aback, it left a slight dusting of pink to his cheeks in embarrassment;'Well, going back to square one wouldn't be the most fair would it? So, I'm going to use my powers to allow you the ability bring any item or ability you'd like into the world you're being-'''HYSTILIAAAAAA!!!''A voice shouted out from within the aether as a bright light brought forth a being from the energy. As her being emerged, the brunette goddess would get a look of embarrassment and slight annoyance;'Oh no...'"Is something the matter?"'N-Nooo, of course not! She's just another Goddess...Though she knows how busy we all are and should have waited until we had finished...'"HYSTILIAAAAAAAAA!!!''The brunette Goddess would sigh again in defeat, speaking up and waving the bluenette over. Theo would stand in slight confusion, turning back to look at her as a bead of sweat would roll down his cheek;'Over here Aqua...'''Ahhh, there you are! You wouldn't still have that secret wine stash hidden away would you?''As the blue haired goddess began to approach and finished her words, she would come to a sudden stop, looking straight at Theo;''Yeaaaaah, secret means secret.''With the wave of her hands, a stunning blue light would encircle him in a pillar that seemed to reach far beyond where anyone could see. Theo would begin to float, letting out panicked woahs and gasps as he tried desperately to get his footing;'Aqua wait he hasn't-'''Hasn't heard anything yet? I know, don't worry, I'll take him off of your hands. Good luck down there Lance or whatever your name was again~!''The floating man would look at her in disbelief, as did Hystilia...Aqua, however, stood proud as she flicked her hand and sent Theo on to his new life...with only the clothes on his back...

The Statiscal and Basic Information of Theodore Ezra

PersonalityTheodore carries himself in a bit more of a confident stride in relation to his previous life; that is being more outgoing than his once secluded lifestyle. Though he has only taken niche jobs in the town of Axel, his reputation has slowly began to garner respect amongst a minor prospect of the locals. His kind personality mixed with bouts of bravery keep those on his company both pleased and entertained. Though he is still a mere novice in both combat and experience the kingdom of Belzerg, even missing the LUC stat altogether given the rushed process he was sent over in.

EquipmentTheodore carries with him a crudily thrown together medium armor set; a mismatch set scavenged from various fallen adventurers in a particularly dangerous region. Alongside this, a shortsword hangs at his hip, acquired as a gift from a much more seasoned adventurer. Though Theodore has yet to discover if the retired warrior was being truthful if the weapon truly does possess the ability to grow in strength and durability without the need of a blacksmith.

SkillsTheodore's skills are all of relatively recent discovery! Having recieved a new version of his adventurer's card from the Guild Hall of Axel; new skills have mysteriously emerged! No complaints can be heard from the adventurer; he's just happy he could finally have something to help in his journey to stop the Devil King.

Though a majority of his adventures can be seen in Axel, this doesn't mean he isn't willing to accept quests that make him venture out further into the world.
